Welcome to the Roaming Pixies blog.

Hi there, my name is Jessica and I am the creator of Roaming Pixies.

As a little girl, I was always a huge fan of fairies and pixies. I adored the fantastical stories with magic and endless possibilities. These stories and nostalgic memories inspire me to make creations that are bright, fun and a celebration of childhood. Being a mum of two, I adore making children’s wear and amigurumi toys.

Once upon a time, my passion was hand-beaded jewellery. I created earthy, boho-inspired jewellery using pearls, crystals and tiny, immaculate, Japanese beads. I sold many of my jewellery designs at galleries, shows, and craft markets. On this blog, I’ve shared some free beading patterns of designs I created during these years.

While I’ll always be fond of beading, crochet is now my number one passion. Roaming Pixies presents a collection of crochet patterns I’ve designed for free, though I do use advertising to help subsidise my expenses and time.
